First Baptist Church Hayti — on Sunday, September 8, we will join with other Southern Baptists in a Message and Call for baptisms. Baptism is a command in obedience after one has been saved by God’s Grace. I for one know of many, that for whatever reason, profess Christ as Lord and Savior but have not followed in Believer’s Baptism. As always, the first invitation is to know you are saved, and for those saved it is important to be baptized in obedience to The Lord. Baptism is an ordinance that shows outwardly what has happened inwardly. — God bless - from Bro. Mark

Sunday Morning Message FBC Hayti / Pastor Mark Hoover 08/18/19 @ 10:45am Sunday School @ 9:45am “Be An Example” 1 Timothy 4:12 [12] Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity. - In Word Ephesians 4:29 [29] Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. - In Conduct Romans 12:9-13 [9] Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. [10] Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; [11] not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; [12] rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; [13] distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality. - In Love 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 [4] Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; [5] does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; [6] does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; [7] bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. - In Spirit 1 Corinthians 2:13-16 NKJV [13] These things we also speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. [14] But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. [15] But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. [16] For "who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?" But we have the mind of Christ. - In Faith Hebrews 11:1 [1] Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. - In Purity Psalm 51:10 [10] Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me.

Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.” ‭‭II Timothy‬ ‭4:6-8‬‬‬ 1. Our Best Offering “For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand.” ‭‭II Timothy‬ ‭4:6‬ ‬‬ 2. Our Best Effort “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” ‭‭II Timothy‬ ‭4:7‬ ‭ 3. Midweek Prayer Meeting & Bible Study FBC Hayti / Pastor Mark Hoover Wednesday 08/14/19 @ 6pm “Priorities” Luke 12:34 [34] For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. 1. The Lord must be the First & Supreme Priority - Deuteronomy 6:5 “You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.” - Matthew 10:34-39 [34] "Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword. [35] For I have come to 'set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law'; [36] and 'a man's enemies will be those of his own household.' [37] He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. [38] And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. [39] He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it. 2. The Next Priority is Family - Starting with the Spouse * Spouse - Ephesians 5:28-33 [28] So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself. [29] For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church. [30] For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones. [31] "For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh." [32] This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church. [33] Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband. * Children - Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it. * Parents - Deuteronomy 5:16 'Honor your father and your mother, as the LORD your God has commanded you, that your days may be long, and that it may be well with you in the land which the LORD your God is giving you. * Family - 1 Timothy 5:8 But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. 3. Church & Friends are also of High Priority & Vital Importance * Church - Hebrews 10:24-25 [24] And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, [25] not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. - 1 Thessalonians 5:11 Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing. * Friends - Proverbs 17:17 A friend loves at all times, And a brother is born for adversity.

[5] Thomas said to Him, "Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?" [6] Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. [7] And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words. [8] "Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. [9] In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. [10] Your kingdom come.
